Investigators say DNA links Foreman to the killing.

JEFFERSON COUNTY — Clayton B. Foreman, 61, is now in the Jefferson County Jail after he was extradited from Ohio and brought back to face a murder charged in the cold case killing of a Beaumont teacher more than 25 years ago.
He was brought back Tuesday. Foreman had been held in Franklin County, Ohio, where he lived, since his arrest at the end of April.
Foreman is charged with murder in the 1995 killing of Mary Catherine Edwards.
The Beaumont teacher was sexually assaulted and strangled.
Investigators say DNA links Foreman to the killing. He’s held without bond for now.
Beaumont police and investigators say they never gave up on solving the murder.
